NBA Betting – Miami Heat at Golden State Warriors

The Miami Heat look to get back in the win column on Wednesday when they continue a seven-game road trip with a stop in the Bay Area to take on the Golden State Warriors. The Heat are finding out that repeating as Eastern Conference champions is going to be difficult. They dropped their last two games and currently have a record of 11-16 putting them behind the Chicago Bulls in the overall conference standings. They are getting players back in the rotation, which should help moving forward. But will it be enough to handle Steph Curry and the Dubs?  Bookmaker.eu is offering a generous CASH welcome bonus ($1600 max bonus)

Odds Analysis

The Heat are looking for something to give them a spark and a jump on the season. It looked like they had it last week beating Washington and the Knicks twice before embarking on the six-game trip. They opened the excursion with a 101-94 payout win over Houston, doubling their previous long winning streak. What good vibes they had were silenced by the red-hot Jazz and then again by the Clippers, two of the best teams in the West. Part of the struggles are due to their poor road record. The Heat are just 4-9 SU and 5-8 ATS in away games. At least they have a better chance of winning this matchup, which is almost necessary considering the slow start. The Warriors play their best ball against teams below .500. They improved to 15-13 SU and 14-14 ATS knocking off Cleveland last time out. They are 10-2 against teams below .500 and just 5-11 against teams at or above the breakeven point.

Miami Heat

So much for the Heat using their run to the NBA Finals last season as a stepping stone to a successful campaign. I guess they can still make some noise in the East since the conference is tightly-packed in the middle. However, the Heat got behind the eight ball early with injuries and COVID related outings putting them in a big hole.

Despite a four-game winning streak that gave some hope of a turnaround the Heat are 5-9 SU and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games. We haven’t seen the defensive intensity that caused problems for teams in last season’s playoffs. Playing without Paul George and Kawhi Leonard the Clippers still dropped 125 on the Heat on Monday night. “They were just comfortable the whole game,” Butler said of the Clips.

It’s plain to see what side the Heat’s bread is buttered on. During their winning streak they allowed an average of 97 points while holding three opponents to fewer than 100 points. Butler’s return from the COVID least a few weeks ago had the chance to be the spark and for a while it was. They played better defense and Butler provided much needed leadership and offense. Jimmy Buckets landed his second triple double in three games with 30 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists against the Clippers

Golden State Warriors

The Warriors are the best middle of the road team in the NBA. They hammered Cleveland 129-98 on Monday night to go 10-2 against teams below .500. If that’s the case on Wednesday you could expect another win. Unfortunately that’s not how the games are played and the Dubs will have to work against a team that is much better than the record shows.

Curry is having a ball with his teammates and it shows in his game. Curry is one of two players around the NBA averaging over 30 points per game and he continues to shoot lights out from behind the arc. Over his last 10 games Curry is averaging 34.5 points while shooting 58 percent from the field overall and 51.2 percent from deep. As a team the Warriors average 114.5 points while shooting 46.4 percent from the floor.

Much like the Heat we haven’t seen the Warriors play solid defensively. And that’s been their problem against stiffer competition. They’ve also been an inconstant team. After losing three of four games they fought back to go 3-1 SU and 2-3 ATS in their previous three. playing at home hasn’t bothered them with a 10-6 home ledger.

Bet Heat at Warriors at BookMaker.eu

With games against the top teams in the West during their current road trip there are matchups the Heat like better than others. This is one of them. Butler voiced his opinion after the Clips game and you can bet his teammates took note. The best way to deal with the negativity is by winning games and I’m not ready to throw in the towel on the Heat just yet.

NBA Score Prediction: Heat 110, Warriors 105
