Those living in the USA and supporting their team in the 2010 World Cup might want to consider placing a bet on Team USA to win outright or even as part of the Group C bet option (not currently available at the time this story was going to press).

USA would pay a whopping $6000 for every $100 bet if they were to win the 2010 World Cup.  These odds were available at Sports Interaction. Don't have $100?  Bet $10 to win $600.  Recreational gamblers are always welcome at SportsInteraction.com

USA nearly shocked Brazil at this year's FIFA Confederations Cup.  But more importantly, they will play in what is considered the weakest group.  They are part of Group C that features a competitive England but a much "softer" Algeria and Slovenia.

England will represent USA's toughest competition as they are listed with +550 odds for a payout potential of $55 on a $10 bet or $550 on a $100 bet.  Algeria and Slovenia would pay $20,000 and up on a $100 bet if they were to win the 2010 World Cup.  This should give you some idea of the disparity in this group.

The United States could finally advance to the second round in a World Cup.

The Americans will open group play against England, June 12, in Rustenburg, then play Slovenia, June 18, in Johannesburg, and conclude with a match against Algeria, June 23, in Pretoria.

There was concern the U.S. would wind up in a group with Ivory Coast, the top team from Africa, or European powers Portugal and France, but that fear never came about.

While England is good, they are not infallible and can be beaten.

This is the best time to bet on the 2010 World Cup, especially when it comes to Team USA as odds are expected to change.  Current odds should be locked in here NOW.
