Keep your eyes peeled to Miss Venezuela.  This year's Miss Venezuela contestant entered in the Miss Universe pageant was also a huge long shot (Miss World Miss Venezuela was at 33/1 odds) and she made it all the way to the final 5.

Miss World 2009, the 59th Miss World pageant, will be held on December 12, 2009 at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa on December 12, 2009.  112 contestants from all over the world are competing for the crown, marking the biggest turnout in the pageant's history. Miss World 2008, Ksenia Sukhinova of Russia will crown her successor at the end of this event. For the first time since 2003, 20 semifinalists will be chosen for this year. The pageant will be broadcasted on SABC 3 in South Africa and E! (Entertainment Television) for North American viewers.
