Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon on Monday signed off on legislation allowing legalized sports betting in the nation's least populous state.
It was one of 31 bills that passed during the 2021 session of the Wyoming Legislature into law, including the so-called "revenge porn" whereby individuals cannot post photos or other images of individuals in compromising positions and/or nude without that person's consent.
House Bill 133 allows for wagering on most sports events including the upcoming Summer Olympics. Betting on the Wyoming Cowboys football team is also permitted.
Gambling on sports could start as early as September 1, just as the NFL season is about to get underway.
