Matthew Wolff Payout Odds to Win 2021 US Open

When Matthew Wolff returned to the PGA Tour this week following a two-month hiatus and was among those sitting atop the 2021 US Open leaderboard as of early Saturday.  His payout odds to win would be $12,500 on a $100 bet should that come to fruition.

Prior to Noon ET Saturday,  Wolff was in a tie for third and one shot off the lead.

The NCAA All-American at Oklahoma State University had taken time off to focus on his mental health following a rocky season.

"I'd say I came here with very, very -- I'd say no expectations," the 22-year-old golfer said after shooting a 3-under-par 68 on Friday at Torrey Pines in San Diego, California.  He trailed Russell Henley and Richard Bland ahead of the 1 pm ET hour. "I'd say my expectations coming here were to enjoy it and be happy, and I didn't even know if I was going to be able to do that.

"Thankfully, I am, as well as playing well. It's a great position I'm in. I'm contending at the US Open, and I'm very happy right now and enjoying it, but I know there's going to be times that I'm not enjoying it as much or not playing as well. For those times, that's what I'm trying to work for and work toward and kind of prepare before it happens."

Wolff picked up his first win on the PGA Tour at the 2019 3M Open.

The California-raised golfer is known for his unorthodox golf swing whereby he employs a left leg kick and utilizes the ground to gain more power.
