Gambling911.com has received information that the long established but troubled call center sportsbook, Skybook.com out of Costa Rica, has been slow paying or "no paying" some of its clients.  The company also operates an online sportsbook and a posting forum, TheRx.com.

One complaint brought to our attention via email was this:

A payout request was made from Skybook on September 15th, 2009. To their credit, they were able to make partial payment over the course of 2 1/2 months. However, have been unable to make a final $4500 payment.

Skybook.com has been at the center of a number of complaints on various sportsbook forums including BettorsWorld.com, where the above complaint was filed, and SportsBookReview.com.

But even more concerning is that "insiders" within sportsbooks operating out of Costa Rica have warned that Skybook may be in serious trouble.

"They are really having a tough time," said one operator, wishing not to be identified.

Skybook.com works mostly with agents and operates part of its business via a credit model
