How Much Will I Win If I Bet Pete Alonso to Win the 2021 Home Run Derby?

A $100 bet on Pete Alonso to win the 2021 Home Run Derby will pay out $500.

The Mets first baseman homered in both games of Sunday's 4th of July doubleheader against the Yankees, so he's certainly hot coming into the Home Run Derby.

Alonso is having a solid season with 15 homers and a .474 slugging percentage.

But the reigning Home Run Derby champion (last year's was cancelled due to the pandemic), Alonso hasn't quite been able to match his home run rate of 2019.  It was then that he set rookie record with 53 homers.

His odds are double that of Shohei Ohtani, the favorite to win the 2021 Home Run Derby.
