A matchup of Top 25 teams is on tap in the college football betting Las Vegas Bowl on Tuesday as BYU faces Oregon State.  The Cougars are ranked higher and playing in their home away from home, yet they are underdogs against the Beavers.  BYU is ranked 15th while Oregon State is ranked 16th.  The Cougars are playing in the Las Vegas Bowl for the fifth straight season and they will have a huge home crowd edge.

Oregon State is a 2.5 point favorite with a total of 58.5 at SBG Global.

BYU finished the season at 10-2 with their only losses coming to Florida State and TCU.  The Beavers are 8-4 but they are coming off a tough loss to Oregon that cost them a berth in the Rose Bowl.   On paper, this game figures to be a shootout as both teams have strong offenses. The Cougars are led by quarterback Max Hall while the Beavers have Sean Canfield. The Beavers also have the Rodgers brothers who can break open a game at any moment.  Jacquizz is the running back who is explosive while James is the receiver who is virtually unstoppable.  The problem for Oregon State is a defense that simply isn't very good. BYU was 12th in the country in scoring so they are going to put points on the board. The other question for the Beavers is motivation. "Basically, there's no room for babies here." Oregon State head coach Mike Riley said, "This is a men's game and you've got to step up and do what you have done, every game, all year.''

The Cougars are playing in the Las Vegas Bowl for the fifth straight year. They lost last college football betting season to Arizona 31-21. Max Hall has 31 career victories and that is the most ever for a BYU quarterback.

BYU has not played well recently out of their conference as they are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 non-conference games. The Cougars are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog.

The Beavers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games in December. The Beavers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games. The Beavers are 23-8 ATS in their last 31 games overall.

The Under is 5-2 in the Cougars last 7 vs. the Pac-10. The Under is 4-1 in the Beavers last 5 non-conference games. The Over is 7-3 in the Beavers last 10 games in December.
