"Talks between Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant have broken off at the 11th hour over disagreements in the contracts. Discussions could be revisited but for now, fight appears dead after a deal was on the verge of completion."

Canelo was listed as a -600 favorite, Plant +400.

The fight was expected to go off September 18.
