San Diego Chargers vs. Tennessee Titans odds opened at Titans -4 ½ and the line has since dropped down to -3 at SBG Global.

This one goes off Christmas Day, Friday, 7:30 pm Eastern - NFL Network

The Tennessee Titans will try and keep their playoff hopes alive on Friday when they host the San Diego Chargers in a game that can be seen on the NFL Network.  It won't be easy for the Titans against a San Diego team that has won nine straight and will be trying to clinch the #2 seed in the AFC.

Tennessee is a 3 point favorite with a total of 47 at SBG Global.

Even though San Diego has won nine straight, the Titans are the favorite in this game on Friday.  It should be a very physical game as Tennessee tries to run the ball with Chris Johnson who leads the league in rushing. "I don't know if there's going to be any hugs and gift exchanges going on," San Diego's Shaun Phillips said. "There'll probably be some elbows and knees going on. But it'll be fun. We look forward to the challenge of stopping Chris Johnson and Vince Young."  Johnson has run for at least 100 yards in nine straight NFL betting games and quarterback Vince Young is 7-1 since taking over as the starter.

The Chargers have been almost unstoppable with quarterback Philip Rivers spreading the ball all over the field.  Wide receiver Vincent Jackson is the deep threat while tight end Antonio Gates gets the ball over the middle.  Even LaDainian Tomlinson and Darren Sproles get into the act catching short passes. Tennessee could have some troubles on defense since they lost two key players to season-ending injuries last week as linebackers Keith Bulluck and David Thornton were injured.  San Diego will be without center Scott Mruckzkowski who has an injured right ankle.

San Diego has simply been a great team against the spread in recent weeks. They are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games. They are 20-6-3 ATS in their last 29 NFL betting games as an underdog. The Chargers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 meetings against Tennessee.

Even though Tennessee has won six of seven they do not excel in this role of a favorite. They are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games as a favorite.

Some other important San Diego Chargers vs. Tennessee Titans odds trends to consider before betting on this game include:  The Under is 3-1-1 in the Chargers last 5 road games. The Over is 9-4 in the Titans last 13 games as a home favorite.
