Casino Chip Bandit Arrested, Charged With Theft of Lost or Mislaid Property
James Stewart, 29, of Hawthorn Woods, Illinois, has been arrested and charged with theft of lost or mislaid property after stealing another man's chips at the Rivers Casino in Des Plaines, police said.

Stewart was taken into custody Friday morning.
The theft occurred around 12:30 a.m after the victim had been playing a table game and temporarily stepped away, leaving her chips behind.. The dealer placed a sign at her spot indicating the seat and chips were reserved.
Upon her return, the chips were gone.
Surveillance video at the scene revealed what had transpired.
A man sitting next to the victim wearing clothing identical to Stewart's moved his chips toward the woman's and then added her chips to his, police revealed.
Stewart denied any wrongdoing.
