Hellmuth Crushed in High Stakes Duel
Phil Hellmuth, after seven straight wins on "High Stakes Duel," finally suffered a defeat as Tom Dwan busted the "Poker Brat" just like he did at the 2008 NBC Heads-Up Poker Championship — cracking pocket aces.
Outside of play, a dispondent Hellmuth was last seen rushing to get back to play Dwan, admitting he was down quite a bit.

This one had to hurt as Hellmuth was once highly critical of what was then an up-and-coming Tom Dwan.
"We'll see if you're even around in five years," Phil insultingly told the 22-year-old after Dwan cracked the 2007 Poker Hall of Fame inductee's pocket rockets with pocket tens in the first round of the 64-player televised heads-up poker tournament.
Fast forward nearly 15 years and Dwan is not only still around but crushing the World Series of Poker bracelet winner record holder.
During play, Hellmuth's obvious anxiety played out for viewers of the live streaming service PokerGo.
Watching @TomDwan be cordial and nice when asked about @phil_hellmuth play is hilarious. Even funnier is Helmuth crying about the respect he doesn’t get while boasting how great he is. Sir it’s not your skill people don’t respect it’s your ego even if they say otherwise.

Ahead of the big win, Dwan was asked about a specific strategy he would employ to beat the mighty Hellmuth.
"Yeah I'm gonna try to get all the chips."
