What Should the Spread on the Alabama vs. Florida Game be?

After Week 2, the Crimson Tide rating is 97.34, the Gators rating is 83.40.  This would give us a spread of Alabama 11.5 (home field advantage factored in).  This one opened Bama -13.5, so looks like a bit of an overlay here.

As backup Anthony Richardson continues to dazzle, Emory Jones will remain the starting quarterback for the Gators heading into next week's matchup vs. No. 1 Alabama, coach Dan Mullen said.

What to Watch for in the Line Movement

Interesting to note that Florida has yet to cover this season despite starting 2-0.

Bama did not cover last week.  Few books offered a line on Alabama vs. Mercer however.

Florida could not cover a -24.5 spread last week but won by 21 against FAU.  This number came down from 25.5 to 23.5 at Bovada.  The sharp books moved the line a half point up to 23.5 from 23 the hours before gametime.  We had the line at Florida -20.

Hawaii Senate Committee Advances Digital Sports Betting Bill

Hawaii, one of the few remaining states without legalized gambling, has taken a significant step toward changing that status. A digital sports betting bill has advanced through a key Senate committee, indicating growing legislative interest in expanding the state's gaming options. The proposed measure would permit online sports wagering while prohibiting physical betting establishments, keeping Hawaii in the digital-only realm of gambling regulation.
