To vax, or not to vax? That is the question facing Kyrie Irving and Andrew Wiggins as they prepare for the 2021-22 NBA season.

Irving is even in danger of being traded as he will be unable to participate in home games under current New York City Covid vaccine mandates.

The answer to that question became much more financially motivated Wednesday when the NBA announced that unvaccinated players will not be paid for games they can't play in because of local COVID-19 laws.

Irving says that a trade will force him to retire.

BetOnline has set odds on which player, Irving or Wiggins, will cave and get his arm poked first.

Which player will get COVID-19 vaccination first?

Kyrie Irving +135

Andrew Wiggins -175

"We made Wiggins a slight favorite because he doesn't have as deep of pocketbooks as Irving does," Adam Burns, Head Trader at BetOnline.ag, said. "Also, when it comes to this type of social outcry stuff, we all know that Kyrie is as stubborn as they come. He may miss a bunch of games early on just to make a point."

The Nets championship, conference and other futures odds haven't yet been impacted by the possibility of having Irving on the floor for just 38 of 82 games this season.
