Report: Mike Postle Owes Mom $80K

An alleged poker cheat, Mike Postle, claims his mother as his biggest creditor.  The shocking revelations came to light as a result of a bankruptcy filing by Postle.

A California bankruptcy court is currently considering the involuntary-bankruptcy petition filed against him by Veronica Brill and Todd Witteles, and the new figures were included in Postle’s latest filing with the court, according to PokerTube.   He claims to owe 25 separate debts.

An accompanying note to the amount states:

“Loans for multiple family court and previous attorneys needed.”

Polarizing Figure in the World of Poker

It all began almost exactly two years ago.  Postle was accused by fellow pro Brill of cheating at the Stones Gambling Hall poker room in Northern California.  There were accompanying accusations that an emloyee of the casino were in cahoots with Postle.

A year later, Postle was exonerated....or so it seemed.

Mac Verstandig, the lawyer who represented 88 claimants in a lawsuit filed against both Postle and a Stones employee, Justin Kuraitis, stated:

“After reviewing evidence with the cooperation of Stones, my co-counsel and I have found no evidence supporting the plaintiffs’ claims against Stones, Stones Live Poker, or Justin Kuraitis.”

This resulted in Postle filing a $30 million slander suit, which ultimately went nowhere.

Then back in June of this year, Brill was awarded $27,745 towards her legal costs in defending the slander case after Postle voluntarily dropped it.

Even Postle's Mom Appears to be a Victim

One thing is for certain, Postle enjoyed great success during his live streaming events at the Stones Gambling Hall.  Why on Earth would he owe his mom that much money?  If anything, Postle should be lending his mother money.

PokerTube notes that some of the creditors named are online loans or credit card companies, with apparently fully-maxed-out balances on almost all of them.
