TVG is not available to those looking to bet the races from the state of Maine online.  There are alternatives, however, for those 18 and up including Wager6 with their amazing 8% back on losses and those who bet other sports qualify for a welcome bonus up to 200% of what they open their account with.  Wager6 will NEVER report your winnings.

Residents of the following states are NOT eligible for a TVG account due to state regulations include: Alabama, Alaska, Georgia, Hawaii, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin, and the District of Columbia.

Remote betting on horse races is now active for Maine residents, effective last year.  But the same law that allows this also prevents TBV from entering the market.

Penn National Gaming, the parent company for Hollywood Races, was given final and ONLY approval to be a licensed advance deposit wagering operator in Maine.

International race books do still take horse bets from those in Maine, but state regulated websites do not.
