Poker Pro Justin Bonomo Bails
Poker Pro Justin Bonomo will no longer be part of Team Bodog it was announced this week. In its stable, the 6th smallest of the online poker networks with average weekly real cash players over 100 at any given time, now has just two poker pros representing it: David Williams and Evelyn Ng. Bodog Poker ranks 16th among all online poker networks in the world.
It was unclear as to why Bonomo and Bodog had decided not to continue their arrangement, though economics was likely a factor.
Certainly Bonomo's performance had little to do with the decision.
According to Poker News Daily, Bonomo owns more than $1.2 million in career earnings from World Series of Poker (WSOP) and Circuit Events and brought Bodog a considerable amount of exposure after final tabling the $40,000 buy-in No Limit Hold'em tournament commemorating the 40th running of the WSOP in 2008.
"It's an unusual trend," notes Gambling911.com's newest poker reporter, Patrick Flanigan. "Most of the online poker rooms including DoylesRoom.com, UB.com, Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars, just to name a few, continue to add pros."
Bodog also cut ties with Jean-Robert Bellande back in October.
