Steelers 1-7 Against The Spread Following a Straight Up Win a Tell-Tale Sign

The Steelers and Chiefs have been mediocre Against The Spread this season, each team owning an 8-9 record ATS.  Kansas City enjoyed a nice stretch of covers from Mid-November to the end of December, six straight, until they cooled down the final two weeks.  Gambling911.com has KC at -9.5 while the books were at -12.5.  These 3-point overlays often go the way of the favorite.

Kansas City was a -10.5 favorite when they beat Pittsburgh by 26 points a couple weeks ago.  That game was also played in KC.

Dating back to 2010, the Steelers have had success as an underdog.  They've covered the spread in 40 out of 67 games.

But when you get a bit closer and start looking back since 2017, the number becomes all the more impressive.  Pittsburgh is 22-8 ATS with a greater than 73% win percentage.

Another hot trend: Steelers are 16-6-3 ATS in their last 25 games in January.

In the end, the trend that stands out more than anything is Pittsburgh's record Against The Spread following an ATS win.  They are 1-7 ATS in this scenario.  The two straight covers came last week and we have the potential for a third consecutive cover in this game, but really they appear to be running out of gas.  We'll take the Chiefs -12.5.

But we're all truly split here as two of the BetOnline experts have the Steelers defense making enough of a correction to cover here while one of the BOL pros are with us.  Watch below.
