Tiny Saint Peters is the giant killer, beating mighty Kentucky in the first round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament.  Should they somehow go all the way, the payout would be $100,000 on a $100 bet.

The irony in all of this is that New Jersey residents are prohibited from placing a futures bet on Saint Peters with NJ-based apps (a few trusty offshore books and locals are willing to take your wagers).

Daryl Banks III scored 27 points and Doug Edert added 20 in the 85-79 overtime win.

Saint Peter's victory was the biggest upset of the night as Kentucky came into this game as a No. 2 seed, the Peacocks are a 15-seed.

Edert scored 20 points off the bench, including a key 3-pointer in the final minute, to get Saint Peter’s in the NCAA Tournament with a win over Monmouth 60-54 on Saturday.  They also earned the MAAC Championship.
