Line on the Tennessee vs. Villanova Game - Sweet 16

The Tennessee vs. Villanova game should be a PICK'EM and leaning towards the Vols -1.

Tennessee was set to face off against a Michigan team that surprised many by making an appearance in this year's NCAA Tournament.

Ahead of that game, the Vols destroyed Longwood 88-56.

Santiago Vescovi scored 18 points on six 3-pointers with the Volunteers (27-7) shooting 60% from the field.  They had four players score in double figures. Josiah-Jordan James had 17 points, and John Fulkerson finished with 15 on 7-for-8 shooting. Kennedy Chandler scored 13 and Zakai Ziegler finished with 10.

As an away underdog since 2016, Tennessee is 9-18 (33.3%) Straight Up.  They are 114-31 (78.6%) as a favorite over that period.

No. 2 seed Villanova was set to play Ohio State on Sunday.

The Wildcats easily beat Delaware in the first round 80-60.

Justin Moore scored 21 points, Collin Gillespie added 14.

While Delaware (22-13) showed some early fight against its northern neighbor in a meeting of programs separated by 43 miles on the map and considerably more in the college basketball landscape, it wasn't nearly enough.

Villanova overwhelmed the Blue Hens under a barrage of 3-pointers to begin the school's quest for a third national title in seven seasons.

“I think over the course of the game, we decided to get a feel for what (Delaware) wanted to do, and we got comfortable with making plays for each other, and that’s what it’s all about,” said Wildcats forward Jermaine Samuels, who had 15 points and nine rebounds.

As a favorite this season the Wildcats are 26-3 (89.7%) Straight Up.  They are 11-3 (78.6%) in NCAA Tournament games since 2016.
