NBA MVP Odds 2022 And Which State is Backing Which Player
America is split on who should be crowned MVP of the 2022-23 NBA regular season, according to a recent Twitter survey.
An analysis was completed by our staff using geotagged Twitter data to determine which MVP candidate each of the 50 states was supporting.
Over the last 30 days, we tracked more than 250,000 tweets containing the #MVP hashtag with a player name in the tweet. The player who turned up the most posts in each state then “won” that particular state.
Currently, the odds show Nikola Jokic is a -275 favorite for MVP. Joel Embiid is second at +225 while Giannis Antetokounmpo is third with +750 odds.
NBA fans on Twitter agree with the favorite, but the results are closer than the odds would suggest. Here are the findings from the study:
Nikola Jokic - 15 states
Giannis Antetokounmpo - 14 states
Joel Embiid - 13 states
Jayson Tatum - 4 states
Devon Booker - 3 states
Luka Doncic - 1 state
