Tiz The Bomb promises early payout odds of $3300 on a $100 bet should he go on to win this year's Kentucky Derby.
Winner of the Jeff Ruby Stakes and John Battaglia Memorial before that, Tiz The Bomb bombed at the Holy Bull, finishing a rough 7th. That was his only poor start in seven races. He's finished no worse than 2nd otherwise.
Tiz The Bomb is trained by Kenneth G. McPeek and starts at the decent number 9 post position.
Tiz the Bomb has mostly been successful on turf/synthetic, so this could present an issue.
Trainer Kenny McPeek finished second with his first Kentucky Derby starter, Tejano Run (1995), his only placing from six previous attempts. He is making his first appearance since 2013. He'll also be entering Grade 2 winner and Blue Grass (G1) runner-up Smile Happy in the 20-horse field.
