2022 NBA Finals Game 2 Betting Preview
The Boston Celtics outscored the Warriors 40-16 in the 4th quarter to steal Game 1 in the Chase Center in San Francisco. The Celtics are now in control of the series but come into this game as a -4 road underdog.
Al Horford had 26 points and Jaylen Brown had 24 points to lead the way for Boston.
In the 1,092nd overall game of his career, Horford made a career best six 3-pointers (in eight attempts).
"Just grateful for this opportunity," Horford said. "It's just going out there and playing basketball at the end of the day. That's just what it is. ... Just excited to be able to share this stage with these group of guys."
Steph Curry had 34 points, but it was not enough as the Warriors defense could not get a stop in crunch time. His Over/Under number of points scored were coming in at 27.5, so he certainly overperformed in this one.
He knows his team let a big opportunity get away.
"It's not ideal," Curry said. "But I believe in who we are and how we deal with adversity, how we responded all year, how we've responded in the playoffs after a loss. So learn a lot from that fourth quarter.
"We know they are a good team. So are we. We have to respond on Sunday."
