A recent poll finds that half of Republican voters are ready to abandon former U.S. President Donald Trump should he choose to run again in 2024.

The New York Times/Siena College poll further reveals that a clear majority of primary voters under 35 years old, 64 percent, and 65 percent of those with at least a college degree would vote against Mr. Trump in a presidential primary.

BetOnline had Trump officially launching a campaign as a slight +120 underdog.

Trump and Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis are co-favorites to become the next U.S. President at 3-1 odds while current President Joe Biden sat at his lowest odds yet (+450).

The poll results come as the House select committee investigating the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021 advised the U.S. Justice Department that the former President had contacted one of its witnesses who has yet to publicly testify.

“After our last hearing. President Trump tried to call a witness in our investigation. A witness you have not yet seen in these hearings,” Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming, the vice chair of the committee, revealed during Tuesday's hearing.
