Kansas Sports Betting by September 8, Entourage Actor Jerry Ferrara Joins the BetMGM Team

Boots-on-the-ground reporting here that Kansas is set to launch legal sports betting no later than Sept. 8, which would be in time for the first game of the NFL's regular season. No word yet if that's retail or online sports betting, or both. Announcement coming this afternoon.

 

The minimum age to bet will be 21. Fully remote registration will be available.  A tax rate of 10% will be applied to all sports betting winnings in Kansas. Additionally, a federal tax of 24% is tacked onto gambling winnings.

‘Entourage’ Actor Jerry Ferrara Getting Into Sports Betting

"Entourage" actor Jerry Ferrara has been named as a celebrity brand ambassador for BetMGM and will be part of the sports betting company’s weekly sports podcast, Unleashed.

“As a diehard sports fan, I couldn’t be more excited about legalized sports betting and having the opportunity to partner with an industry leader like BetMGM,” Ferrara said in a BetMGM press release. “It’s an honor to be the first BetMGM ambassador to co-host Unleashed and I’m excited to share my passion and knowledge with fellow sports fans.”
