Where Can I Bet on Scott Frost Getting Fired?
The real action in college football gets underway September 3, but with a few games played on Saturday August 27, all the talk centers around Cornhuskers head coach Scott Frost' future.
In a loss to Northwestern in Dublin, Ireland, and as a double digit -14 favorite, Nebraska's head coach ordered an onside kick and it didn't work.
“You’ve got to win in this business to keep your job,” said Frost, who is in his fifth year at the helm and coaching at team that has now lost seven straight stretching into last season. “That’s the way it is. I love the state of Nebraska. I love these fans that sacrificed to come over here. We’ve got to get this turned around.”
Now our friends at BetOnline have updated their odds for the first Big Ten head coach to be fired and Frost, the early -120 odds favorite, was now priced at -1000.
Now, They have created a prop bet asking whether or not Frost will be canned before the end of the regular season with the YES favored at -500 (NO pays $30 for every $10 bet).
The above odds indicate a 75% probability that Frost will lose his job before the new year.
He might get a reprieve over the next few weeks with Nebraska facing off against North Dakota and Georgia Southern. Obviously if he loses to either one of these two teams, it's probably game over for Frost. But games against Oklahoma, Indiana and Rutgers will likely determine Frost's future.
In other college football prop happenings, Desmond Howard predicted that Texas A&M, Michigan, Baylor and Pittsburgh would be the four team in the CFP. We set odds on how many he would get right, and the under .5 has heavy juice associated.
