FanDuel Down for Some Customers Week 1 NFL

Coming off a week of controversy after some Canadian players reported unauthorized access to their betting accounts, FanDuel was caught flat-footed to kick off the 2022 NFL season.

Even our friend Ryan Knup could not get in, though he was likely referring to the daily fantasy app since he's in Florida.

"Why can’t I access my account it keeps telling me I’m not eligible but that’s not true I bet everyday now it’s not working," one affected customer tweeted.

Another, Bruva Tre D. Jakes, wrote:

"Fanduel ain’t for me, it won’t end well. I’ve only had access for 4 hrs and it was ugly".

FanDuel was advertising pretty much every other commercial break during the games.

It's unclear just how many people were affected by outages, though the issues did not appear to be widespread.

FanDuel is the largest of the regulated sportsbooks.  They were the first to turn a profit this last quarter since the industry was born in the summer of 2018.
