Penn State vs. Michigan Betting Preview - October 15

The battle of the undefeated takes place Saturday when Penn State heads to Michigan.  The Nittany Lions are 3-2 Against The Spread while the Wolverines are 3-3 ATS.

The line on this game has shifted between Michigan -7 and -6.5, mostly sitting on the 7.  And we have the line on the money with a number of 6.5 Michigan.

Comparables include four games:

NC State +6.5 /+7 vs. Clemson featured a very similar line movement to our Nittany Lions vs. Wolverines game and the dog was a favorite.  The line was also on the money.

Oregon -6.5 vs. Washington State didn't really hit the 7 most books and the home dog covered here with Oregon winning by 3 points.  And, like the Penn State-Michigan game, this one was also on the money.

Cincinnati +6.5 to +7 vs. Arkansas had the home favorite cover just barely with a 7 point win, while it was a push for some.  The wrong team was favored here and the home team came in as the underdog.

TCU -6.5 to -7 vs. Kansas.  The road favorite TCU covered and pushed with a 7 point win.  There was an overlay of 3.5.

The winner of Saturday's marquee game will control its own fate in the Big Ten race and potentially earn a spot in the College Football Playoff.

“Penn State is always a tough game,” Michigan guard Zak Zinter said. “The intensity level, the focus, preparation level, you’re always going to take it up a notch. ... They’re a good team, so the preparation does go up a little bit for that.”

“Games like this, where there’s more national attention, it’s always fun,” said sixth-year quarterback Sean Clifford, who handed the Wolverines their last loss at home, in 2020. “Games like this, you come to Penn State to play in.”

Michigan RB Blake Corum has run for 500 yards, for nearly 6 yards per carry, and four TDs in his last three Big Ten games played. He ranks third in FBS with 735 yards rushing.

Penn State CB Joey Porter Jr. ranks second nationally with 10 pass breakups and was named the Big Ten’s top defensive player at midseason by The Associated Press.

BetUS host Gary Segars, and college football expert handicappers Kyle Hunter and Parker Fleming preview College Football Week 7 game between Penn State and Michigan. They'll go over the best value college football odds available and betting trends and share their College Football expert analysis and predictions.
