Brentford Striker Toney Charged With Breaching Betting Rules: 232 Breaches

Ivan Toney, 26, of Brentford has been charged by the English Football Association accused of more than 232 breaches of betting rules over a four-year period.  Torey says he is fully cooperating with the investigatio.

The breaches in question occurred over a span from 2017 to 2021.  Punishment could include anything from financial penalties to suspensions to even a lifetime ban.

Toney scored 11 goals this season and was a contender for England’s World Cup squad.

Brentford said in a statement: “The club has been in discussion with Ivan and his legal representatives about this matter and those conversations will continue privately. We will make no further comment until the matter has been completed.”

The FA said Toney has until Nov. 24 to respond to the charges.

Tom Brady, Larry David Named in FTX Lawsuit

We here at Gambling911.com have been covering the collapse of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange extensively here.  Our friends at CoinGeek first reported last year that the head of compliance for FTX was none other than an individual caught up in a high profile cheating scandal over a decade ago.  Apparently no red flags were raised.

Many flocked to the exchange based on the familiar names such as Tom Brady and Larry David endorsing it.  They are now named in a suit following FTX filing for bankruptcy last week.

A class-action lawsuit was filed in a Florida court on Tuesday alleging that the crypto platform and its now former CEO Sam Bankman-Fried violated state law, misled customers and cost investors billions of dollars in damages.

The lawsuit alleges that U.S. customers sustained $11 billion in damages and accused the exchange of targeting “unsophisticated investors from across the country.”
