Dave Mason of BetOnline admitted his book would be huge France fans Sunday morning.  It's easy to see why.

These were your odds:

Argentina +167 France +192 Draw +220

Here was your action:

Argentina would be a massive loss for the book.

France would have been a huge large win.

The draw would be a massive win.

This one ended in a draw in regulation and in extra time.  The win game in penalty kicks.

The books essentially needed France on the spread, the Under and France to lift the trophy, which did not happen.

This was the scene just down the road a few blocks from the Gambling911.com digs in Little Buenos Aires, Miami Beach:

It was Aregntina's third World Cup title, and the first since 1986.  It was also Messi's first.

For the 35-year-old, Messi confimed he intends to keep playing even after the win.

“Obviously, I wanted to complete my career with this, (I) can’t ask for more,” Messi said. “Finishing my career this way is impressive. After this, what else? I have a Copa América, a World Cup. Almost at the very end.

“I love soccer, what I do. I enjoy being part of the national team, the group. I want to enjoy a couple of more matches being a world champion.”
