Nathaniel Hackett was finally relieved of his duties following a 51-14 reaming at the hands of the Rams and you better bet our friends at BetOnline have odds on his replacement.

The move follows a 4-11 start after the team entered the season among the top 10 most likely to win a championship.  It all came to a head following a blowout 51-14 loss at the hands of another disappointing team, the LA Rams.

In a statement Monday, team owner and CEO Greg Penner thanked Hackett for his dedication but said that “following extensive conversations with George and our ownership group, we determined a new direction would ultimately be in the best interest of the Broncos. This change was made now out of respect for everyone involved and allows us to immediately begin the search for a new head coach.”

Sean Payton is the favorite to replace Hackett and turn Russell Wilson around, followed by Dan Quinn and Jim Caldwell.

There are also some amusing names on the list such as John Elway, Shannon Sharpe and, of course, Wilson's former coach, Pete Carroll.

On the firing list, Kliff Kingsbury is the only coach favored (heavily) to be fired sometime in the next three weeks.

UCLA vs. Washington Betting Preview November 15

With a victory over the Bruins, the Huskies would clinch bowl eligibility. This would seem to be the Huskies best shot at securing a postseason berth, with No. 1 ranked Oregon looming in the regular season finale next week.
