(BetOnline News) - The bookies' worst nightmare is forecasted to come true as the UConn Huskies are heavy favorites to take home another college basketball championship.

We’ve released updated March Madness odds, and UConn is a -125 favorite. San Diego State is second on the board, followed by Miami and Florida Atlantic.

As reported prior to the start of the NCAA Tournament, the Huskies are our largest liability in terms of futures odds. The book will incur a six-figure loss should UConn cut down the nets on April 3.

"UConn's odds got as high as 90/1 at the end of November, and people were betting them at those massive odds,” Adam Burns, Sportsbook Manager, said. "This season was about as wide open as it gets so we had sharp bettors looking for value with those mid-range teams, so we'll be hoping for an upset in their matchup or in the championship."

SDSU went into the season with 80/1 title odds, and the Aztecs had 100/1 odds as late as March 9.

Miami started the year with 150/1 odds and ranged from that number to 66/1 up until March.

FAU was the longest shot of the Final Four bunch, of course. The Owls were listed at 300/1 in early January and were 125/1 going into the tourney.

Below are the current title odds and Final Four lines.

NCAA Championship

Connecticut 4               -125

San Diego State 5          +350

Miami 5                        +450

Florida Atlantic 9           +600

FAU vs. SDSU (-1.5)

Over/Under 131

Miami vs. UConn (-5.5)

How Do Bookies Make Money?

Back in the day, a corner bookie had to work 60 hours a week or more. Today's bookmaker spends more time on the beach courtesy of their friend the Pay Per Head platform. And here is the best part: They have the ability to make double the income than when they were putting in those 60+ hours a week.
