What Are the Payout Odds for Pete Alonso to Win the Home Run Derby?

Pete Alonso is the favorite to win the 2023 Home Run Derby, but the payout is still generous at $250 for every $100 bet or $25 for every $10 bet.

The New York Mets first baseman has 26 home runs on the season so far.  He is .215 overall with 61 RBIs.

It's going to be an exciting matchup between Alonso and Seattle Mariners center fielder Julio Rodriguez.

One would think Rodriguez has an edge coming into this year's Derby as the event will take place at Seattle's T-Mobile Park.  Rodriguez   pays $550 on a $100 bet. Rodriguez also beat the Mets star last season with the competition ultimately won by Juan Soto.

Alonso is looking to reclaim the crown.

Bookmakers are hoping this is one of the most watched and wagered on Home Run Derbies thanks to the newly introduced bracket format.

Here's how it works: Each player gets 4 minutes a round to hit as many home runs as possible (with one timeout) and awards 30 seconds of bonus time for players who hit two home runs at least 440 feet.

Other notable payout odds include: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. paying $400 for every $100 bet, Luis Robert Jr. paying $550 for every $100 bet, Adolis Garcia paying $650 while Mookie Betts and Randy Arozarena each pay $1000 on a $100 bet.

The Home Run Derby will air Monday on ESPN at 8 p.m. ET
