Gamblers bet the total on former US President Donald Trump's weight at booking time in a Fulton County, Georgia jail from 262.5 to 278.5, Gambling911 can reveal.  His official weight came in at 215.

Trump and 18 allies were indicted in Georgia over their efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss in the state, with prosecutors using a statute normally associated with mobsters to accuse the former president, lawyers and other aides of a “criminal enterprise” to keep him in power.

BetOnline offered what they probably figured to be one of a gazillion prop bets released over the years: The Over/Under on Trump's weight.

The rest is history as the Daily Mail soon picked up on the betting option.  Drudge would list the odds as their top headliner two days prior to his booking.  In other words, these odds went viral.

It was not immediately known how many new customers BetOnline acquired as a result of the novel prop bet.

"Thousands would be a pretty conservative estimate," remarked Gambling911.com Senior Editor Payton O'Brien.

Inquiries for the Trump booking weight prop bet were "through the roof" at Gambling911, O'Brien noted.  G911 was among the first to promote the odds after BetOnline released them.

Trump was traveling to Atlanta from Newark and expected to arrive at the jail some time before 8 pm ET, making this a prime time event.
