Feds Investigation Into Vegas Casinos About to Blow Up?

Scott Roeben of Vital Vegas posted an ominous warning this Labor Day Weekend.

In regard to the Nevada Current story from early August that federal law enforcement agents from California were investigating allegations that current and former Las Vegas hotel employees used casino assets to pay off gambling debts , Roeben tweeted "Hearing this is about to blow up".

Some of those under investigation may also have acted as agents.

The case appears to center around San Fernando Valley, California bookie Wayne Nix's gambling ring.

Over the past two months, federal agents from California visited Resorts World Las Vegas as part of its widening probe into the sports betting ring operated by, Nix, a former minor league baseball player.  Nix client base included a Who's Who of Hollywood celebrities and sports figures - players and coaches - according to court filings.  Ex-Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig was also ensnared in the matter.  Puig plead guilty late last year for lying to federal law enforcement officials about bets on sporting events that he placed with Nix.

High-stakes gambler-turned-FBI confidential source, RJ Cipriani, had begun naming names this summer.  One of those included Jeremiah Chambers.  He has since left his role as senior director for customer development at the Cosmopolitan casino, Gambling911.com was able to confirm, though the company would not elaborate as to why.

The Nevada Gaming Board says it is aware of the probe but cannot offer any comments at this time.

Agents with Homeland Securities Investigations and IRS Criminal Investigations are leading the probe for prosecutors in the US Central District of California, sources say.

'We have no comment,' a spokesperson for the US Attorney's Office in Los Angeles told DailyMail.com.

Roeben is an award-winning blogger and Las Vegas insider and his tweet certainly piqued our interest.

Gambling911.com has noticed an increase in searches related to the story in recent days, many of which originate from Las Vegas.
