'Insane Action' on Colorado, Reports Dave Mason of BetOnline
"This Colorado action is insane," Dave Mason of BetOnline tweeted out. "Never seen anything like this. I'll be shocked if Saturday's game is not the biggest bet college football regular season game in the history of @betonline_ag. There is now more cash on Colorado spread than the spread for all 32 NFL teams."
Wowsa!
Is it safe to say, "move over Bama, Ohio State, there's a new college football darling in town"?
Maybe not, if BetOnline's prediction is correct.
They still have the Buffaloes record a mere 5-7 to close the regular season.
BetOnline become the only book to set spreads for each of the Buffaloes remaining 11 games. They are favored in four games, including this week, and underdogs in seven games.
Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes did more than impress the college football nation Saturday (Week 1) with an upset loss over last season's College Football Playoff Championship loser TCU. Colorado was a +20.5 underdog in that matchup. Mason confirmed there were quite a few moneyline bets on the Buffaloes to win outright, resulting in some huge payouts for gamblers.
Colorado will host Nebraska as a -3 point favorite in Week 2. Their Sagarin Rating is still No. 75 (68.61) whereas the Huskers come in rated at No. 51 (74.51). This week's home field advantage is 2.90, thus giving us a line of -3, but with Nebraska favored.
The very early line had Nebraska as a -8.5 favorite.
The Huskers did lose to Minnesota in their first game of 2023.
