The Sportsbooks Are Getting Killed By the Buffs
We’re not eager to take any more bets on the Colorado Buffaloes to take home their second national championship in school history.
Our odds team said that the current liability (total money lost) on a 2023 Buffs' title is the largest ever at this point in any college football season. Those goes back more than two decades as BetOnline has been operating for 25 years.
"We are crazy exposed on Colorado...the bets just don't stop coming in," Sportsbook Manager, Adam Burns, said. "It's still early in the season, but it's a big red number right now so we've had to set a market low in terms of the Buffaloes current CFP odds."
Exact figures for the potential loss were not disclosed.
While other sportsbooks are offering Colorado odds ranging from 80/1 to 120/1, we currently has the odds at 50/1. Last week, the Buffs had 100/1 odds.
