Any Odds on Senator Menendez Resigning?

BetOnline is widely expected to offer betting odds on Democratic U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey resigning.  Gambling911.com has him favored at -200 to do so by month's end (September) but these odds are preemptive and for entertainment purposes only.

Menendez plead not guilty on Wednesday to federal charges accusing him of pocketing bribes of cash and gold bars in exchange for wielding his political influence to secretly advance Egyptian interests and do favors for local businessmen.

Menendez spoke in court only when each defendant stood to acknowledge that they understood the charges against them. A lawyer entered the not guilty plea for Menendez, who was forced to step down as chairman of the powerful Senate Foreign Relations Committee after being indicted.

While you're dealing with your Menendez resignation betting fix, BetOnline does have GOP debate odds for Wednesday night.

These include the following:

Total Debate Viewers

Over 10.5 million

Under 10.5 million

How many "suspicious claims" will be made by candidates? (According to WaPost Fact Checker blog)

Over 10.5 claims

Under 10.5 claims

(Note: BetOnline's political oddsmaker commented on the increase from the last debate considering there is one less candidate, saying, "Vivek gets worse by the hour, and he'll talk more with one less mouth on stage."

BetOnline also revealed Tuesday that former US President Donald Trump had overtaken the current President Joe Biden as the 2024 favorite.  Technically the two are co-favorites and the numbers are such that they are likely to alternate between the favorite spot.
