Dallas Mavericks vs. Orlando Magic betting odds opened at Orlando -5 ½ and has moved up an entire point to -6 ½ at SBG Global.

This one is being played Friday, 8:05 pm Eastern - ESPN

The Orlando Magic will try and avoid looking ahead to Sunday's game against Cleveland as they host the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night in a NBA betting game that can be seen on ESPN.  The Magic played perhaps their best game of the season on Wednesday as they routed Detroit 116-91. Dwight Howard had 33 points, 17 rebounds and seven blocks in win.  The Magic have seen other teams make moves at the trading deadline but Orlando already has the talent to win. "We wanna win a championship," Howard said. "We can't focus in on what other teams are doing. We have to focus in on what we're doing to get better."

Dallas is one of the teams that made a move as they made a trade with Washington to get Caron Butler. The Mavericks have won one and lost one since getting Butler.  He has shot 31.3 percent in the two games and is averaging 14 points per game.  He has done very well this season against Orlando as he averaged 27 points per game in two wins for Washington. "He played for the Wizards, not Dallas so the Wizards beat us," guard Vince Carter said. "Right now, it's our next opponent and that's just who's in our way."

Dallas will also be using newcomer Brendan Haywood in this game as he will guard Howard.  He played strong defense on Wednesday as the Mavericks beat the Suns 107-97. "I hope it is the signature of this team that we continue to play good defense," Haywood said. "Because when you get to the NBA betting playoffs, you've got to realize that your offense isn't going to be there every night, but your defensive intensity always has to be there because that's what's going to carry you."

Dallas has won five of the last six against Orlando including three straight in Florida. Dirk Nowitzki is averaging 26.8 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.7 assists in those games.

The Mavericks are 7-19 ATS in their last 26 games overall. The Mavericks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Mavericks are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 vs. the Southeast. The Magic are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 vs. the Southwest.

The Under is 10-4 in the Mavericks last 14 vs. the Southeast. The Under is 14-6 in Orlando's last 20 overall. The Over is 8-1 in the last 9 meetings between Dallas and Orlando.
