Ohtani Not MVP Favorite According to Oddsmakers

Not even 700 million could vault Shohei Ohtani past the reigning National League MVP and only member of the 40-70 club, Ronald Acuna Jr., in the 2024 MVP odds.

Of course, Ohtani isn't pitching next season, which certainly factors into his MVP prospects, but he still has the second-best odds.

Freshly-signed San Francisco Giants outfielder, Jung Hoo Lee, comes in with 50/1 odds after taking down the KBO MVP in 2022.

SportsBetting.ag released early MLB projections for Most Valuable Player and Cy Young on Wednesday.

Aaron Judge is the MVP favorite over in the American League while teammate Gerrit Cole is favored to repeat as Cy Young.

Spencer Strider is the NL Cy Young favorite, but it's worth noting that pitchers such as Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow, Jordan Montgomery and Yoshinobu Yamamoto are absent from the odds board.

Those pitchers, as well as non-pitchers such as Matt Chapman and Cody Bellinger for MVP, will be added once they have signed with their new teams.
