The Miami Heat will come into their Christmas Day game against the Philadelphia 76ers having beaten them four our of the last five times.

But Philadelphia has won eight of their last nine games overall.  Miami is starting to get healthy again.  They've won six of their last nine games.

The Heat opened as a -2.5 favorite.  Favorites opening at -2 or -2.5 have gone 14-6 (70%) over the last two weeks.

Joel Embiid has an incredible 30 points and 10 boards in 13 consecutive games for Philadelphia.  But fortunately for Miami, Embiid has been ruled out for this game with a right ankle sprain.

This might explain why we get Philadelphia with a number of 4.42, meaning the wrong team appears to be favored.

Tyler Herro has been playing solid basketball after missing 18 games due to a sprained right ankle. The fifth-year pro is averaging 27.7 points per game on 55.4 percent shooting over his first three games back.  The books have listed Herro with an Over/Under of 22.5 points scoring Monday night.

Miami has won its past two games without star Jimmy Butler.  He is questionable for the Christmas night game.  Butler is on the board at the books with a total Over/Under number of points set at 21.5.
