As of Friday, Gambling911.com was unable to locate game or player props for the much anticipated FCS Championship game between Montana and South Dakota. It's not all bad news as those living in either of these two states can place their bets on this game online at BetUS.
Game and player prop bets could be available for this Sunday January 7, 2024 2 pm ET game as it approaches and we've included a direct link to the FCS betting market page. The game will be broadcast nationally on ABC.
As of Friday, BetUS offered a spread of -13.5 favoring undefeated South Dakota State. The Jackrabbits were listed at -550 odds on the moneyline with Montana promising a $375 payout on a $100 bet with an upset.
BetUS also offered quarter and halftime odds.
Montana and South Dakota State have played eight times (from 1969 to 2016) but have not met in the last seven years.
South Dakota State is looking for its second straight title (third straight appearance) after going undefeated this season.
Mason McCormick, Garrett Greenfield, Mark Grownowski, Jimmy Rogers, Isaiah Davis and DyShawn Gale player props are possible the hours leading up to the title game.
“A lot of these guys, they weren’t highly recruited,” Rogers said during his media availability Friday. “They weren't. They were developed here. A lot in this group, especially the sixth years, several of them were walk-ons. Six out of the 10 six-year guys were walk-ons, and it's really a credit to them and them buying into the system and then buying into the culture of South Dakota State and then pushing it farther than it's ever been.”
Montana will come into this game sporting a solid defense with the championship expected to be won in the trenches.
“They play very hard, they’re very well-coached and they have a lot of talent all over the field,” Greenfield said of the Grizzlies. “Whoever wins the line of scrimmage is really going to win the game.”
The Jackrabbits sit within the Top 25 of all college football teams on Sagarin, a sign of just how good this team is. Montana comes in at No. 68, two notches below Montana State actually. With the game being played in Frisco, Texas, we get no home field advantage. We get a number of South Dakota State 10.09, indicating an underlay of as much as 3.5 points.
