Major news on the women's side of MMA came out yesterday as Dana White announced that Kayla Harrison, a two-time Olympic gold medalist in judo and two-time PFL champion, has been signed exclusively by the UFC.

Harrison will jump right into the spotlight after being booked on the UFC 300 card for a featured bout against the equally-accomplished Holly Holm.

"Holly Holm is one of the baddest women to ever compete in combat sports — ever," White said in a video posted to social media. "She's fought all the nastiest women in the world in boxing and in MMA, except for one. Holly will be taking on the only person in US history to win back-to-back Olympic gold medals in judo. The UFC has officially signed Kayla Harrison."

Harrison is best known for defeating then undefeated UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey in Nov. 2015 for her belt. Holm has gone 15-6 with eight knockouts and one no-contest during her MMA career. She is currently ranked No. 5 on UFC's bantamweight list

"We set odds for the 135-pound tussle today, opening Harrison as a -375 favorite with Holm coming back as a +310 underdog," BetOnline announced Wednesday.

But early bettors pounced on the new girl on the block. Here are the current numbers:
