This Never Gets Old
The Kansas City Chiefs are playing in their 4th Super Bowl in five years. They were winners of two of those games, including last year against the Philadelphia Eagles. This year, the Chiefs will face off against the San Francisco 49ers as a rare +2 underdog.
Mahomes completed 30-of-39 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs’ 17-10, AFC Championship Game victory over the league's hottest team, the Baltimore Ravens. He also added six carries for 15 yards.
Travis Kelce, with his love Taylor Swift in attendance (how could you miss her?), caught 11-of-16 targets for 116 yards and a touchdown.
“The Chiefs are still the Chiefs,” Kelce said emphatically as the team had a few shaky moments during the regular season.
Only once this season has Kansas City scored more than 31 points, and a home loss on Christmas to the Las Vegas Raiders — on the same day Baltimore made a statement with a win at San Francisco — seemed to indicate that the Chiefs’ days atop the AFC were numbered.
Not so fast.
“I’ve never doubted, no,” coach Andy Reid said. “That’s not how we roll.”
