The day we've all been waiting for is finally here, but for one online gambling site the numbers have already been staggering.
Driven in no small part by the likes of recording artist super star Taylor Swift, BetOnline is reporting its biggest numbers yet for any Super Bowl, breaking last year's records by a mile.
Sportsbook Manager, Adam Burns, said the record had been shattered already on Thursday but it is Sunday when the vast majority of the betting action is expected to flow in.
"Last year's Super Bowl was the biggest betting day in the 25-year history of our company, but we're on pace to surpass those numbers by nearly 5% this year," he reported. "And the volume we're seeing on prop bets is insane. It's undeniable that Swift's influence is contributing to our projected record volume."
So much so that BetOnline has dubbed this year's Super Bowl the Super Swift Bowl LVIII.
