Will Fani Willis Out in Trump Fulton County Election Interference Case?

Fulton County DA Fani Willis' odds of being removed from the election interference case against former President Donald Trump just got much shorter following shock revelations during a Thursday hearing to determine whether she improperly benefited from her relationship with the special prosecutor appointed to the case.

Few anticipate the case itself will be thrown out.

A longtime friend of the Fulton County District Attorney described “hugging, kissing, just affection” as early as Nov. 2021 between Willis and the lead prosecutor in the Georgia election interference case, appearing to contradict claims made in an earlier affidavit.

Willis acknowledged earlier this month that she had a personal relationship with Special Counsel Nathan Wade.

“Our relationship was not a secret," Wade said on the stand. "It was just private.”

From NBC News:

Wade took the stand after Yeartie, and was asked about payment statements filed during his divorce proceedings that contain trips taken by Willis and Wade. Asked about a trip to Belize that appears on bank records provided by his wife's divorce attorney, Wade testified that Willis reimbursed him in cash. He said that Willis attracts a lot of attention while traveling and, therefore, tries to limit her transactions, suggesting that he paid “for safety reasons.”

BetOnline currently offers odds on the number of Trump guilty counts with 4 the favorite for the Washington 2020 Election January 6 case, 11-13 in the Georgia Election Interference case and a whopping 25 or more in New York.
