Thursday night (March 7) is President Joe Biden’s first State of the Union Address of 2024 and could very well be his last before the election. Former US President Donald Trump is currently the -120 favorite to win the general election for President in November while Biden comes in at +175 for a payout of nearly $20 on every $10 bet. Trump is pretty much two points ahead in the odds.

The SOTU drew some 20 million viewers last year and has the potential to shift the odds in either direction for Biden and Trump.
According to Nielsen, some 65% watched the speech on broadcast networks, and 35% viewed it on cable networks - an estimated 3.25 million viewers, compared to 2.04 million for MSNBC and 1.31 million for CNN. About 78% of the audience was 55 and older, 16% was 35-54 and 4% was 18-34.
