Hyde named Burnes the Orioles' starter for Opening Day against the Angels on March 28, Buster Olney of ESPN reports.
He's allowed three runs on four hits and a walk over 2.2 frames in his first two spring starts.
Burnes was traded by the Milwaukee Brewers last year to Baltimore as part of a blockbuster deal.

“The first relationships I’m establishing are with the catchers,” Burnes said. “With Adley [Rutschman] and [James] McCann. Obviously, those are the guys I’m going to work a ton with in-season, and those are the guys you’ve gotta perform with.”
