76ers Tyrese Maxey Player Props Still Available for Game 2 Despite Questionable Status
Philadelphia 76ers' Tyrese Maxey may be out for Monday night's game due to an illness. At the very least, he's not likely to be playing up to his top potential.
BetUS was still offering player prop bets on Maxey, the 76ers second best scorer after Joel Embiid. Maxey featured a scoring total of 25.5 with the under quite appealing in this situation. There is also the potential that these odds could be pulled off the board and scratched for those who already placed bets.
Maxey, who had 33 points in 44 minutes in Philadelphia's 111-104 loss in Game 1 of the first-round playoff series on Saturday night, was the only 76ers player missing from the shootaround Monday morning.
The illness was not immediately disclosed.
There are still more woes for the 76ers, who appeared to finally be at full health entering the Playoffs.
Star center Joel Embiid was also listed as questionable for Game 2 as he continues to battle a left knee injury. He, too, is listed with prop bet totals but will Embiid's performance lean more towards the under in each of them?
Embiid missed nearly two months after having left meniscus surgery on Feb. 6, limiting him to 39 games during the regular season. But he appeared to reinjure the knee during the second quarter of Saturday's game. Embiid did return to start the second half. He finished with 29 points in the defeat, just a point shy of Monday's scoring total number.
If Maxey doesn't suit up, one might expect Embiid to score over his 30.5 total for Game 2 perhaps.
The line on the 76ers-Knicks game had only moved from +5 to +6 Philadelpiha during the morning hours Monday.
