Charles Barkley Talks Losing $25 Million on Gambling

The Hall of Fame basketball player and TNT analyst is well known for his high stake gambling, as well as his losses.

He discussed the latter on the most recent episode of Shannon Sharpe's Club Shay Shay podcast.

After losing enough, Barkley did the reasonable thing and quit gambling for two years. But once he got the itch to go back, his friends told him the truth about why he was losing so much money.

"They're like 'Dude, why can't you win $300,000 and say man we had a great weekend? Why you got to win a million? Why can't you lose 300 and say we still had a great weekend?'," Barkley said his friends told him.

"You ain't got to win a million or you ain't got to chase it and lose a million."

Barkley once claimed his family fan an underground casino.

"The house was like a casino on the weekend,” Barkley said in Bella’s biography of the titled, Barkley: A Biography. “Guys would come on Friday and drink and gamble until Sunday.”

Top-seeded Jannik Sinner withdraws from Madrid Open because of hip injury

Top-seeded Jannik Sinner withdrew from the Madrid Open because of a hip injury.

Sinner defeated Karen Khachanov in the fourth round and was scheduled to face Felix Auger-Aliassime in the quarterfinals.

“Very sad to have to withdraw from my next match here in Madrid,” the world No. 2 said on social media. “My hip has been bothering me this week and has slowly been getting more painful. Taking the advice from the doctors we decided it’s best to not play further and make it worse.”

The 22-year-old Sinner was expected to play in Rome before the French Open begins later this month.

Sinner was the -275 favorite to win the Madrid Open.
